Launched on May 14, the Loop platform provides returnable packaging. A way to do your shopping without emitting waste.
Glass jars, metal cans, stainless steel flasks… But no plastic. This is the challenge set for the new Loop sales site, an innovative platform based on the deposit system.
With Loop, all your products are delivered in reusable containers. For this, you must pay a small deposit not exceeding a few euros, this will be returned to you upon return of the packaging. All these containers are then washed, sterilized and will be used by other consumers. A zero waste process.
Loop has already found its followers. “I found that it was very concrete to fight against overwrapping“, confirms a user of this new delivery method. On the site, there are products from Carrefour, Tropicana, Milka and even The Body Shop. So many large brands who wanted to join the ecological platform.
In 2016, in the European Union, 87 million tonnes of packaging waste was thrown away.
