France 3 Franche-Comté brought together this Wednesday, May 18 five candidates for the 2022 legislative elections in the 2nd district of the Territory of Belfort (Belfort-Valdoie). Paralyzed by stage fright, the candidate of the National Rally of Marine Le Pen had great difficulty answering any questions.
“I had the courage to go but I was more than worthless”.
The day after her participation in the debate organized by France 3 Franche-Comté with the candidates of the 2nd district of the Territory (Belfort – Valdoie), Sophie Carnicer is lucid about her performance.
The candidate of the National Gathering lived a long ordeal, unable to answer most of the questions asked. However, the topics discussed were known to the five candidates invited to the set, and primarily concerned the issues of this constituency: energy policy and the future of the General Electric plant, bought by EDF, or even access to public services in rural areas.
I wasn’t expecting specific questions… I couldn’t get a word out.

Inevitably, the performance of Sophie Carnicer recalls that of her colleague RN Mélanie Fortier, during a debate on France 3 Bourgogne on May 8. Unable to answer a harmless question on public services, the regional councilor of Bourgogne Franche-Comté had asked “cut this part”, attracting the mockery of Internet users. “I thought about it during the debate”recognizes the Belfort candidate.
On the set of France 3 Franche-Comté, however, the presenter Jérémy Chevreuil and the other candidates have shown kindness to him. “It’s trueassures the person concerned, I felt that no one was pushing me deeper than I was…”

Inevitably, the performance of the RN candidate was commented on social networks: “What a disaster!”, “Such a live crash is quite incredible”, “Madame Carnicer had come to do some extras? I even wonder if she knew the purpose of her visit”…

Sophie Carnicer is not her first candidacy. Last year, she presented herself to the departmental in the canton of Grandvillars (24%, eliminated in the first round). It was also in second position on the RN list in the Territoire de Belfort during the 2021 regionals in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
