“You can go out of your way with your left-wing Islamo guests, you won’t change anything, the Souchien will never accept you.” Journalist on France 5, Karim Rissouli talks about the racist and anonymous letter left at his home yesterday.

It was on his way home, after dropping his children off at daycare or school, that France 5 journalist Karim Rissouli discovered the racist and anonymous letter left in front of his home. The letter writes: “Frankly, Karim, you didn’t understand the vote of June 9. It’s not purchasing power, retirement at 60, the privatization of Radio France. The one and only fundamental reason for voting RN is that the historic French people are fed up with all the bicots. You can do whatever you want with your Islamo-leftist guests, you won’t change anything, the souchien will never accept you, neither you nor your brothers. And even despite the numbers, you will never own France.”

Receiving threats or insults is not a first for the journalist. But “When it happens at home, there is a higher form of violence and there is a form of violation of one’s privacy which makes me want and perhaps need to talk about it today”. If Karim Rissouli wanted to talk about it publicly today, “it’s because it goes well beyond my personal case. I’m not at all the only one to receive this kind of threat, racist insults. There are people who experience it on a daily basis. (. ..) I think of all those people who are racialized, blacks, Arabs, Jews, Muslims, homosexuals, trans people, in short, all those who experience discrimination on a daily basis and who are afraid today that the racist speech is released.” Finally, he recalls that “Racism is not an opinion, it is a crime”.
