As the documentary “The pogmentary” is released on Amazon Prime on June 17, French football player Paul Pogba looks back on his personal life and career in an interview with Rémy Buisine.

“There are difficult times. Everyone goes through difficult times. The question is how you’re going to take it, if it’s a step or a test that will push you forward or backward”.

Very young, Paul Pogba left his family to devote himself to his passion for football. He joined US Torcy, then Manchester United.

“I saw my parents less and less. At 16, arriving in a host family and not speaking the language… You have to grow up quite quickly”.

Going to Manchester United is a great source of pride for the young boy. “It is one of the greatest clubs in the history of football. Going there, discovering a new culture and showing my qualities, that was my dream.”

In the documentary “The pogmentary”, the young player looks back on the significant events of his life such as his transfer to Manchester United or the death of his father, a real booster in his career. “I didn’t take it as a distress but rather as a strength”.
