Helicopters, tanks and warehouses of weapons belonging to NATO destroyed by the Russian army? Such claims can be found in many social media posts.

Videos and photos shared are meant to show this. But the research carried out sometimes proves that the images come from a video game, sometimes that the captions attached do not in any way correspond to the real facts.

Thus a helicopter shot down in mid-flight finds its origin in an Arma 3 simulation extract published last April. The photo of a burning warehouse described as a ddepot of NATO weapons, is in fact that of the fire at the grain terminal in the Ukrainian port of Mykolaiv.
