Brut met Billel and Hadi, two childhood friends, who opened HB Clean, their own washing center in Gennevilliers, where they live. An activity that they initially carried out with those around them to “make ends meet” and which they transformed into a business.
Billel, 24, and Hadi, 25, created their own car cleaning company, HB Clean, in Gennevilliers. “We’re here every day, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., we only think about working” explains Billel. During coronavirus, Hadi was doing “small car washes to make ends meet” then he started to “work for another tire brand“where he was”of car washing in the company with a team”. “Then my friend Billel suggested that we join forces to do something concrete. It interested me directly. And above all, working for us is good too”. “Plus, we really know each other. We grew up together” adds Billel. “The first customers were our relatives, friends of ours who brought us their cars. Then there were friends who also had rental boxes, they brought us their cars, then moms from the neighborhood. It was word of mouth like that” remembers Hadi.
“There are times when we don’t even need to talk. It looks like it’s a choreography”
Their very first client, Hadi remembers it particularly well: “We were at a friend’s house, and he lives on the third floor. We sent a big extension cord from above, from the third floor, from his house, from his balcony, and washed the car. This was our first HB Clean customer” recalls Hadi. They started with coping plans until they found a “small box”’ close to a car park before being able to settle in a dedicated place, where they are still today. “We came across someone who saw our determination, and who offered to work together and rent the warehouse. And we accepted” says Billel. The youngster explains that many think that car washing, “it’s a luxury”. “This is why we have attractive prices, that we are not too expensive”. Their dream? “Open many more. Let us hear HB Clean everywhere” hopes Billel.
