French oaks processed in China, then resold in France
China alone imports 20%, and it pays a good price to provide its wealthiest citizens in particular with French parquet floors. In our public forests, a label exists to prevent these exports, but we have discovered that it can be easily circumvented. Even more surprising: this French oak processed in Asia is sometimes re-imported to be sold in our French parquet stores…
