Emmanuel Macron was present this Thursday, October 6 at the Accor Arena in Bercy, for the BIG Inno Génération organized by BPI France. He spoke to hundreds of entrepreneurs and business leaders on the subject of metamorphosis.
“I think it’s always scary for a caterpillar to become a butterfly.“This is what the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron said in front of a crowd of entrepreneurs. He was present this Thursday, October 6 at the BIG Inno Génération 2022, an event organized by BPI France. This eighth edition was placed under the theme of metamorphosis. The President held the opening speech of this edition.
“The times we live in are scary because, I say sometimes, the unthinkable is back. We all lived through covid together. (…) You live in an open world, you were told to export more, boom! Overnight, we no longer have the right to fly, we close, there are export bans. We thought we lived in a world of infinite peace, boom! War returns. It was thought that, a few years ago, resources, especially natural ones, were also infinite. There, the transition was slower but it was just as brutal and we saw the consequences.”, lists the President.
“Faced with that, we can tell ourselves that we are in a world that is going to collapse. This is the first way of reacting to the unthinkable: it is withdrawal into oneself, psychological, collective collapse. (…) There is another way of doing it, it is metamorphosis. It’s to tell yourself that everything is changing around me, but that so far, we have collectively managed to cope with all these changes.“, continues Emmanuel Macron.
