Coal mining is in full swing in Germany to alleviate the European energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine. In the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the village of Lützerath was recently destroyed to make way for the expansion of a coal mine, and wind turbines are due to be dismantled soon to make way for another expansion.
Our journalist Roxane Léouzon went on the spot, where the situation mobilizes inhabitants and environmental activists.
