Firefighters are put to the test trying to control the fires that are ravaging the Gironde department. Their rest time takes place in a village hall specially open for them, at any time of day or night. This place which theirs is consecrated allows the soldiers of the fire to be able to eat, to sleep and to be massaged to relax the bodies murdered by a bitter battle against the flames.

Firefighters give of themselves and put bodies at risk when fighting fires. Nurses and doctors treat all the injuries contracted in contact with the flames. Some suffer from blisters, others from respiratory or eye problems. Firefighters sleep little and suffer the consequences of fatigue.
