“At night, people are different, the gamberge is different.” Journalist Sacha Dahan rode through the streets of Marseille with rapper Alonzo. For Brut Night, he reveals the neighborhoods where he grew up and his vision of the night.
“To find out if my melancholic sounds will stand the test of time, I listen to them in the car at night”. Rapper Alonzo is in the new episode of Brut Night for a tour of Marseille and the neighborhoods of his childhood.
“When you make music, you have to represent. Me, I represent the northern districts, its qualities, those who have founded a family, but also these young people in full failure who seek to get back on the right track”says the rapper.
With his new album “Quartiers Nord” released on May 20, 2022, Alonzo gives a nod to Marseille and its origins, and exposes the life of the people living in these neighborhoods.
“In my time, I was the youngest certified gold. I’ve seen lots of countries, albums, collaborations… Today, I’m here. And I am definitely here.”
