VIDEO. 16.6 million French people have already received inflation compensation, announces the Minister Delegate for Public Accounts

“We’re almost halfway there”. Invited on the franceinfo channel on Saturday January 22, the Minister Delegate for Public Accounts, Olivier Dussopt, gave the latest information on the payment of the inflation allowance, this sum of 100 euros paid to people over 16 who earn less than 2,000 euros net per month to deal with soaring prices.

“As we speak, 16.6 million [de personnes] received this allowance. For example, 10 million employees in the private sector saw this compensation paid at the end of December. It was the 3 million recipients of the family allowance fund, who received it yesterday [vendredi] and the day before yesterday [jeudi]“, detailed the Minister, before adding: “We will meet the target of 38 million French people. The latest payments, for technical reasons only, will concern retirees, at the end of February.”
