Victoria of Sweden adorned with a chic tiara steeped in history with Sofia and Carl Philip

Red carpet, evening dresses and luxury, this is the cocktail that will rock the Cannes Film Festival during its fortnight, but elsewhere too we know how to put the dishes in the big ones! On May 17, an appointment was thus made at the royal palace in Stockholm, for a state dinner in honor of Sauli Niinistö, the Finnish president.

For this two-day state visit – in a delicate context after Finland’s application for NATO membership, to Russia’s fury, in the midst of the war with Ukraine – the members of Maison Bernadotte were gathered to honor Sauli Niinistö and his wife Jenni Haukio. King Carl Gustav of Sweden, adorned with his various decorations on his costume, received the couple for a chic banquet given under the gilding of the Charles XI gallery, a baroque style room inspired by the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. He was obviously able to count on the presence of his wife Queen Silvia as well as the rest of the clan.

Once again, his daughter and heiress to the kingdom, Princess Victoria of Sweden, caused a sensation. Dressed in an elegant sky blue draped dress, she was accompanied by her husband Prince Daniel, with whom everything seems to be going well after nasty divorce rumors appeared a few weeks ago. As usual during social events of this kind, the future monarch was adorned with luxurious jewelry starting with an impressive tiara. She had opted for the Napoleonic Cut-Steel Tiara, already seen on her head on several occasions, in particular during the Nobel Prize awards.
