At 10 and 6 years old, the Princess Estelle and his little brother Prince Oscar of Sweden are already on the ground, performing! On March 8, 2022, Crown Princess Victoria and her husband the Prince Daniel indeed embarked their two children with them for an official visit in Stockholm. The little family went to see the progress of the construction of a new lock.
Helmet on the head, fluorescent vest on the back and goggles on the nose, Estelle and Oscar seemed amused – and impressed! – by this site visit with mum and dad. Curiosity was on the agenda since this new lock will bear the name of Victoria, the future Queen of Sweden. On Instagram, the Swedish Court gave a little historical reminder of this major project: “In 1642, the first lock between Södermalm and the Old Town, the Queen Kristina Lock, was opened. Since then the lock has been rebuilt several times due to changed conditions. The new Victoria Lock, named after the Crown Princess, will mainly provide access to drinking water and manage increased flood risks and high water flows.”
Rare are the times when Estelle and Oscar accompany their parents on their many official engagements. This joyous outing for four almost makes you forget the lively rumors of divorce wiped out by Victoria and her husband at the beginning of the year. Testimonials from “friends” and supporting bodyguards, the Swedish media Stoppa Pressarna insists that the couple is on the verge of divorce, to the point of having started marital therapy. The parents of Princess Victoria, King Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife Queen Sofia, would even be aware… However, the denials could not have been firmer.
