Victor Lobry, a Green committed to ecology

He obviously talks to us about football, about this far from simple start to the season for ASSE, but outside the field, it is also an ecological and citizen message that Victor Lobry wants to convey. The new recruit from Saint-Etienne is indeed one of the ambassadors of “Football Ecologie France”, an association which wants to make the world of football aware of the importance of ecological transition.

It was while discussing with his friend Grégoire Amiot, met at the Stade de Reims and now vice-president of the association (also captain of Puy Foot 43) that Victor Lobry had the desire to get involved with them. With the youngest, first in the club of his Picardy childhood, in Villeneuve-Saint-Germain. Without being a world star, the midfielder immediately saw the importance that a football player could have in conveying messages. Basic notions such as selective sorting or even favoring the consumption of local products.

The general future of our society depends on ecology. Inevitably, football has a role to play at this level. Victor Lobry

The general future of our society depends on ecologypleaded Victor Lobry in 100% Holy. Inevitably, football, which attracts a lot of people, has a role to play at this level. Each on our own scale, with our small fame as players, we can send messages and that of ecological transition is important. I know that ASSE is also committed to this subject and given its influence, it is a very good thing..”

For Victor, this commitment is far from being a hobbyadds the President of Football Ecology France, Antoine Miche. Victor is one of the ambassadors who allows us to send messages on all subjects relating to ecology. Today, our structure mainly supports amateur clubs in the organization of awareness-raising operations. Having an ambassador in a club like AS Saint-Etienne is necessarily positive. A big club like ASSE will also be able to prove that it is sensitive to these subjects..”

Having just settled in the Saint-Etienne region, Victor Lobry has not yet been able to plan awareness-raising operations via the association. He must meet very soon his friend and captain of Puy Foot 43, Gregoire Amiot, to discuss it.

Last November, still a player from Pau and far from ASSE, Victor Lobry was questioned on the subject in the podcast “Victoire!”. Prediction or not, the author of the podcast had asked him if, given his commitment to ecology, “he could agree to develop his career by going to sign in cities with a fairly industrial reputation, such as Saint-Etienne“. The future Stéphanois then answered yes with a smile, adding that he could come there “live in a cabin lost in the forest“if necessary. A few months after this interview, Victor Lobry arrived in Saint-Etienne, he does not live in a cabin but he is indeed a Green committed to ecology.
