On Friday February 11, 2022, France 2 broadcast the 37th edition of music victories. A show filmed at the Seine Musicale and hosted by Laury Thilleman and Olivier Minne, under the chairmanship of Stromae. After an edition closed to the public due to the health crisis linked to Covid-19, the artists were able to perform on stage in front of a raging crowd. It is also the occasion to hand out 11 awards.
Without surprise, OrelSan and Clara Luciani were the two star artists of this 2022 edition. It’s even a hat-trick for the 39-year-old rapper. Indeed, the interpreter of better day was crowned Male Artist of the Year, but that’s not all. He also won the Victory for Audiovisual Creation of the Year with his documentary called never show that to anyone as well as the Victory for Song of the Year with The smell of gasoline, which he also performed on stage. So many awards that left him speechless…”It makes me mega mega happy, I don’t know what to say“, did he declare.
For her part, Clara Luciani won not one but two awards. The pretty brunette, named in four categories, won the Victory for Female Artist of the Year and Song Album of the Year, for Heart.
Stromae, who came to do the show, delighted the viewers with his performance. No long speech but a return of the singer on stage after a long absence. Jacques and Thomas Dutronc also delighted the audience on stage, as did Hoshi.
SCH, winner of the category of the most streamed album for an artist with Jvlivs II said to himself uncomfortable being one of the only rappers here tonight. “I confess to you, I am a little embarrassed this evening to hold this Victory in my hands, without seeing them seated here in front of me, these great gentlemen who would have deserved just as much as the artists here present to celebrate their victories music“, he confided, saluting the talent of Jul, Ninho, Gazo, Oboy, Laylow or even Soso Maness.

The audience share is 17.1% of 4-14 year olds, 24.6% of 15-24 year olds, 21% of 25-49 year olds, 16.9% of 35-59 year olds and 18.9% on women responsible for purchases under the age of fifty. A nice score which allows France 2 to obtain second place in the ranking, just behind France 3 which broadcast Murders in Haute-Savoie.
