(Los Angeles) Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James, is in stable condition after suffering cardiac arrest on Monday while practicing with his basketball team, his family said Tuesday.
“Yesterday (Monday, editor’s note), Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest during training,” the family explained in a press release, adding that “medical personnel were able to take care of Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and is no longer in intensive care.
The 18-year-old son of the Lakers player collapsed on the field while training with his teammates at the University of Southern California.
“We ask for the privacy of the James family, and we will update the media when there is more information,” the statement said.
