Inter Milan and Christian Eriksen have agreed to end the Danish international’s contract, the club announced on Friday, which may allow the player, six months after his cardiac arrest during the Euro, to be able to look for a team to replay. The 29-year-old has worn a defibrillator since his accident, a device which is a contraindication to playing professional football in Italy, but which is authorized in other leagues.

Christian Eriksen resumed training at the beginning of December in Odense (Denmark), a club in which he made his debut and where he still has a residence there. The Italian media Corriere dello Sport had recently mentioned a possible return to Ajax Amsterdam for the Dane, where he made his professional debut (2010-2013). In addition, the Dutch club already has a player with a cardiac device, the Dutch international Daley Blind. An opportunity that would allow him to pursue his career at a high level.
