Vice-world rally champion Thierry Neuville leaves the road during testing in the Tarn

Impressive accident this Saturday afternoon in the Tarn. Belgian rally driver Thierry Neuville and his co-driver Martijn Wydaeghe, hired by Hyundai, left the road at Labastide-Rouairoux, on the D165 closed for the occasion to traffic.

In a curve, the car has left its path and has fell about thirty meters into a ravine. Thierry Neuville was not injured but his co-driver suffered from shoulder pain. It must have been hoisted by the Dragon 34 before being evacuated to the hospital. “The crew is on their way to the hospital for further examinations” details in a tweet the Hyundai Motorsport team.

The crew was testing a new car this Friday and Saturday in the town. Thierry Neuville has been vice-champion of the WRC rally world five times.
