Vianney trashes a France Gall song in “The Voice”: “I find it creepy”

No coach turned around on their very rock version of France Gall’s cult song, “The lollipops”, composed by Serge Gainsbourg. The group Quartier chat, made up of 5 childhood friends from Bordeaux, did not convince the jury of The Voice on March 9, 2024. And Vianney explained why he did not want to buzz.

“I find this song creepy

First he explained “You guys are crazys”, admitting that he had danced with Zazie and Mika, while specifying: “Thanks, it was recess. We had a blast.” But the problem was probably the choice of this double meaning song. Concerning this hit which caused a scandal in the 60s, Vianney assured: “I find this song creepy, I tell you the truth“.

And to add: “The text, since I understood, I haven’t been able to but you made me laugh all the same. I couldn’t listen to this song anymore. In this version, I admit that I enjoyed it because suddenly, it was light, it was funny.”

“I’m not sure that’s what you came for

However, Catherine Robert’s husband could not consider mixing Quartier chat with his other talents, namely Aprile, Maëva, Baptiste Sartoria, Marco Léna, Victoire Solveig, Odem, Gwendal White, Anna, Julien Kela, and Louise. He thus entrusted to the musicians: “For the rest of the events at “The Voice”, I admit I didn’t plan ahead. I’m not sure that’s what you came looking for, surely to have a good time and make us enjoy it. If so that was it, it was super successful“.

On March 16, 2024, the jury will attend its last blind auditions, to finalize the teams for the 2024 class. And something tells us that viewers are not at the end of their surprises.
