very nice score for its premiere on BFMTV!

Faced with behemoths like Touche pas à mon poste, Daily or the 8 p.m. of Gilles Bouleau and Anne-Sophie Lapix, the bet was more than risky for Laurent Ruquier. However, its first on BFMTV this Monday, September 25, 2023 was massively followed, and the audiences prove it for themselves: the first steps of the presenter who resigned from the public service on the news channel directed by Marc-Olivier Fogiel attracted 385,000 viewers (1.8%). Although the score may seem low, it is in reality significantly higher than the average for the 20/21 box on BFMTV. As our colleagues from Pure Médias point out, Le 20h de Ruquier allowed BFMTV to see its slot increase by 116%!

This first show of the season saw the reunion of Laurent Ruquier and Charles Consigny, who had already collaborated together on the penultimate season of On n’est pas couch. Around his table of columnists, the host also met journalists Selim Derkaoui and Églantine Delaleu, and Blanche Leridon, president of the Montaigne Institute. Ruquier’s 8 p.m. returned this Monday, September 25, to anti-cop hatred, the increase in fuel and homophobic chants, in the presence of deputies Karl Olive and David Guiraud, sports journalist Daniel Riolo, and union members Christopher Rouget and Ghislaine Sicre.

Yann Barthès overlooks the competition

Although he managed to significantly increase the BFMTV counters between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., Laurent Ruquier did not shake the competition. On CNEWS, his main opponent, Pascal Praud, remained clear leader with 739,000 viewers (3.5%). On LCI, Julien Arnaud’s show An eye on the world attracted 218,000 people (1%) while on France Info, only 131,000 viewers (0.6%) were watching Les Informés. On the competition side, Yann Barthès was a real hit, attracting 2.4 million viewers (11.2%) and almost 20% of housewives! On Canal+, the show Clique by Mouloud Achour did not hit the mark, bringing together only 16,000 people (0.1%).
