“Very happy and very happy to do my last Tour de France”Thibaut Pinot, selected by his Groupama-FDJ team to participate in his last Tour de France, told Radio France Sports management on Tuesday, June 13.

The 33-year-old Franc-Comtois will participate in his last Grande Boucle after finishing 5th in the last Tour of Italy. “With the form I had when I left the Giro and the form I still have 15 days later, it would have been frustrating not to be part of this team”, recognizes Thibaut Pinot. He claims to have “well recovered” since the Giro d’Italia and has been riding since “to desire, to sensations”. He is currently on an internship in La Cluzaz for a week of preparation in order to “get back on track”.
The cycling champion had achieved his best result in 2014 by finishing 3rd in the general classification. Thibaut Pinot stays “motivated” with his team to make “all together the most beautiful Tour de France possible”. “With the team lined up” by Groupama-FDJ, the runner thinks he can make a “great” 2023 edition.
