Montrealers will be treated to mild, sunny weather for the Easter break, where temperatures reaching 11 degrees are expected.
“For the Easter break, the weather will be very mild for Montreal. We will be between eight and eleven degrees maximum,” says Grégory Yang, meteorologist for Environment Canada.
This good weather can be explained by the influence of an anticyclone. “We are very lucky because we are literally between two systems,” explains Mr. Yang. Indeed, at the same time, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie and the North Shore will be affected by a system which will bring a lot of snow and rain.
Snow is also expected mid-next week, due to a system from the United States. The entire south of the province and potentially central Quebec will be affected.
However, there will not be a big drop in temperature. “We will still stay close to zero,” said the meteorologist.
