The Elysée Palace hosted a grand dinner on Friday February 11, 2022. Emmanuel Macron and his Portuguese counterpart Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa opened the France-Portugal cross-season in Paris which will offer nearly 500 cultural events in the two countries until in October. This eight-month-long season was launched at a dinner at the Elysée Palace bringing together the two presidents with a hundred guests: ministers, artists, business leaders and personalities.representing the links between France and Portugal“, according to the Elysee.
This great evening began with the reception of Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in the courtyard of the Elysée and his traditional photos in front of the presidential palace. Emmanuel Macron was accompanied by his wife, the first lady Brigitte Macron, at the forefront of elegance in a dark look. Dressed in a dark blue dress and a long, shimmering black coat, Brigitte Macron had her blonde hair up and wore gorgeous dangling earrings. The first lady posed on the arm of her husband but also with their guest of the day.
Among the guests invited to this great evening: actress Barbara Cabrita, singer Inna Modja, actor Ruben Alves, singer Tony Carreira (see our slideshow) or even Linda deSuza, Helena Noguerra, Luis Rego or designer Philippe Starck, as reported by AFP. Several members of the government also took part in this dinner such as Jean-Michel Blanquer, Franck Riester, Élisabeth Moreno, Jean-Yves Le Drian or even Barbara Pompili.
