Philippe Etchebest does the show on M6; either to turn around restaurants in difficulty in Nightmare in the Kitchen or to take the candidates from his team to the end of the Top Chef adventure. While the 15th season of the successful culinary show returned to M6 on March 13a candidate spoke of her shared past with the starred chef who left her a bitter taste.

, did you know that she met Philippe Etchebest in 2017 in Objectif Top Chef? Eliminated, at the time, by the best worker in France, the 24-year-old young woman is, today, thirsty for revenge: “I was left with a feeling of unfinished business. It didn’t work well. I was quickly eliminated and I was very disappointed. I was left wanting more and I wanted to prove to Philippe Etchebest that I had evolved, that ‘I hadn’t given up’ as he had advised me. I want to win to make my mom proud” confided to Ici Paris the one who is now sous chef at the Ritz.
On this occasion, the young woman spoke of their unexpected reunion: “When he saw me for the first time on Top Chef, my face immediately seemed familiar to him. It was a surprise for him to see me again and he was amused.“
THIRST FOR REVENGE
Very competitive since the resumption of the program,
Shirley has demonstrated on numerous occasions that she does not intend to give up. If making her mother proud is one of her driving forces, she also doesn’t hide her career goals. “I dream of opening my restaurant within three or four years maximum, have my own star(s). It’s my aim” she said before adding: “My partner, Simon Derment, is the chef of the restaurant Le Tout-Paris. We have two completely different styles of cooking but which come together perfectly, so we would make a great team. We have already worked together in the kitchen for three years and we know that it works well!
At this stage of the competition, four candidates have already been eliminated: Inès, Thibault, Pierre-Pascal and Pol-Henri.
