(Montreal) A young man was admitted to a Montreal hospital early Friday night after being stabbed in the upper body during an apparent argument at a home in the southwest of the city early in the night , friday.
The Service de police de la Ville de Montreal (SPVM) reports that the 22-year-old man was conscious when transported by ambulance and doctors later confirmed that he would be alive.
It was a call to the 911 emergency telephone exchange made around midnight 10 that led the police officers to the accommodation located on Evelyn, near the intersection of rue Caisse, in the borough of Verdun.
At the scene, the police arrested a 24-year-old man who was transported to an investigation center. He was to be questioned by the police a little later.
A security perimeter has been erected at the accommodation. Investigators and forensic identification technicians from the SPVM undertook the examination of the premises; witnesses should also be interviewed.
