A 31-year-old man, shot during an altercation on July 30 in the Verdun borough, has succumbed to his injuries, announced the Montreal Police Department (SPVM).
On the afternoon of July 30, a 31-year-old man was shot and injured during a dispute that allegedly broke out between the occupants of two cars. The altercation took place on Champlain Boulevard, near Stephens Street, in the Verdun borough of Montreal.
The victim, who was hit in the upper body, succumbed to his injuries, according to the latest information provided by the Montreal Police Department (SPVM).
“The investigators from the major crimes section are now responsible for this investigation,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, media relations officer at the SPVM.
There have been no arrests so far. The investigation is still ongoing to try to elucidate the circumstances of this event. It is the 22e murder to occur in SPVM territory in 2024.
