Véli the tailor

From Turkey to Normandy

It was at the age of 13 that Véli left Turkey to settle in France. At the time, the country was looking for labor and encouraged foreigners to come and look for work in France. The family first settled in the Paris region, before moving to Normandy some time later. Véli doesn’t know a word of French. He will learn the language on the job. Just like his future job. He will be a tailor, like his dad.

On the overhanging shelves, nearly 200 spools of yarn of all colors. All you have to do is take your measurements, if you have in mind to have a made-to-measure suit made. Well, we have to put the means. It’s not cheap, made-to-measure. Much more affordable, alterations of all kinds can give new life to your clothes.
