Wednesday July 27, the technical control for two-wheelers, a time mentioned, will not finally see the light of day in the face of the outcry caused by the announcement of the measure.

French bikers are happy on Wednesday July 27: they won’t have to carry out a technical inspection of their two-wheeled vehicle. The government had mentioned this measure before finally retracting. “These are relatively expensive motorcycles, and to put that in any hand, it’s difficult”reacts a user. A decision also acclaimed by associations specializing in two-wheelers.

According to the various associations of two-wheelers who opposed the establishment of this technical control, the measure has no interest. “There is a figure that must be remembered, the motorized two-wheeler is 2% of the rolling stock in France and 0.5% of polluting emissions”explains Jean-Marc Belotticoordinator of the French Federation of Angry Bikers. This withdrawal of the measure, which only concerned motorcycles of 125 CC or more, is not supported by all. Thus, associations fighting for the preservation of air quality are offended by such a decision.
