The Ontario Provincial Police announced that they had arrested 34 suspects during their historic operation carried out on Montreal soil, to catch young car thieves who were making rain and shine not only in Ontario, but also in Montreal.
Ontario authorities took stock of their operation during a press conference held at 10 a.m. in Hawkesbury.
In total, just over 80 suspects were targeted by this large-scale operation. Less than half of them were therefore put out of harm’s way. Additional arrests could take place in the coming days or weeks.

The vast majority of individuals arrested are aged 22 and under.
