(Las Vegas) Jack Eichel’s case will be evaluated week to week following lower body surgery, the Vegas Golden Knights announced Tuesday.
Eichel was injured Thursday in his team’s 2-1 win against the Boston Bruins.
The 27-year-old American leads the Golden Knights with 19 goals this season, in 42 games. He and Mark Stone share the team lead with 44 points.
In the 2023 playoffs, Eichel led the clubs in spring ball with 26 points, including six goals, helping Vegas win the Stanley Cup.
The Golden Knights will play their next game Thursday night at home, against the New York Rangers.
Second in their section, the Knights have not won two games in a row for more than a month.
Their last such streak was a four-game winning streak from December 6-12.
