Host Gino Chouinard announced Tuesday morning that he will step down from the helm of Hi hello in June 2024.
The one who won 14 Artis awards during his career hosts the morning show broadcast on TVA for 16 seasons. “My children have never seen me do anything else,” he said, all smiles, when he announced his departure to viewers during the show.
“This morning, by announcing to you that I will leave the animation of Hi hello during the week at the end of my contract in June 2024, I conclude a very long and very beautiful personal and professional journey. I can’t wait to discover the next projects that will come up, ”he wrote on his Facebook page, while recounting that he had first been an assiduous viewer of the show.
Gino Chouinard, who hosted Hi Hello Weekend for four seasons before moving to the weekday show, conducted more than 10,000 interviews at Hi hello and hosted 3,640 live episodes, according to TVA.
