After a year of work, the Montreal police’s anti-gang team is finally reaping the fruits of its efforts as a vast police operation targeting a synthetic drug network linked to organized crime is underway in Quebec and Ontario.

The operation led the officers to carry out searches simultaneously in Montreal, Lanaudière, Mauricie, the Laurentians and Ontario.
Assisted by the Sûreté du Québec, no less than 300 police officers and investigators from the Antigang team are taking part in this vast operation.
Several specialized teams from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) have also been put to good use over the past year.
According to what the investigation has established so far, the synthetic drug produced by this network was distributed in Montreal, Quebec and on the North Shore.
