Variant Omicron and Christmas: “We come back to you tomorrow with our decisions”

Faced with the meteoric rise in COVID-19 which continues, “faced with difficult choices”, the Quebec government will announce tomorrow “new decisions” regarding the holiday season at a press briefing at 6 p.m.

This is what the Prime Minister, François Legault, said on Twitter.

“As in many places in the world, Quebec is faced with very difficult choices. What guides us is the capacity that we will or will not have to treat sick Quebecers in the coming weeks, ”he summarized.

Authorities have been reporting record numbers of cases of COVID-19 contamination for several days. On Monday alone, 5,043 people tested positive for the virus and 8 died from it.
