The 13 Hours leaves, Thursday, July 13, to discover the garden of the domain of Rayol, in the Var. It is a protected natural area that extends into the Mediterranean, and concentrates an exceptionally rich biodiversity.

It is a little green paradise that stretches out into the Mediterranean, un jewel of the coast preserved from real estate constructions. In the Var, the area of Rayollocated in Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, stands out as an enchanted parenthesis. Last year, 90,000 visitors went there, for an invitation to travel that is particularly important to gardeners. At the start of summer, all the paths on the 20-hectare estate must be accessible to the public.

A tour of the plant world

Here, biodiversity is protected. There are no fertilizers or pesticides, and water is used very little despite the drought. In the different plots of the garden, there are varieties from all over the world, which know how to adapt to the weather conditions of the Var.

The Conservatoire du littoral bought this place in 1989 to make it a unique place. For young and old, it’s a tour of the plant world that leaves no one indifferent. It is also possible to explore the shores of the Mediterranean, in translucent water. The seabed is home to a wildlife but also a flora of exceptional richness.
