Vancouver property sales up 12%

(Vancouver) Home sales in Metro Vancouver rose nearly 12% in November, compared to a year ago, the area’s real estate board said Thursday, as demand continued to outstrip supply.



The number of sales for last month stood at 3,428, down from 3,064 in November 2020, but down from 3,494 transactions recorded in October 2021, the chamber said.

Last month’s sales volume was 33.6% above the 10-year average for November.

The number of homes listed for sale in Metro Vancouver reached 7,144 last month, down 35.7% from the 11,118 homes listed in November 2020 and down 11.1% compared to the 8034 of October 2021.

The benchmark price for a residential property in the region reached $ 1,211,200, up 16% from last November and up 1% from October 2021.
