(Vancouver) The Vancouver Canucks placed Elias Pettersson’s name on the COVID-19 protocol sideline list on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old center has six goals and 17 points in 34 games this season.
Pettersson is the fifth Canucks player to be added to the protocol in the past week, following Brock Boeser, Phillip Di Giuseppe (December 29), Justin Dowling (December 30) and Jason Dickinson (1er January).
Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau has confirmed that players who contracted the virus in the United States were repatriated via a medical evacuation flight.
The Canucks will host the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.
