Ukraine is still looking for weapons. In the meantime, the Ukrainian forces have succeeded over time in mastering the design of drones of all kinds. Among them, vampire drones.

In the direction of the front line, not a car on the road. Russian intelligence drones are flying over the area. To join the Ukrainian right-wing unit, you have to go along the Russian border and the town of Belgorod (Russia), with your lights off, so as not to be spotted. In a cellar, three soldiers operate the drones. “I started with drones when I joined the army, in 2022. Before that, I was dancing. I am a choreographer”confides Artist, navigator at the Khartia brigade.

The machine is a vampire drone: it sees perfectly at night, and can carry 15 kg of explosives. During the adjustments, the artillery rumbles. According to Kit, the bomb disposal transmitter, the Russians “are very afraid of this machine”. “It’s a drone that makes a lot of noise at night, and because the sound disperses, it’s very difficult for the enemy to detect the direction it’s coming from.”, he adds. For takeoff, everyone takes shelter. The anti-tank mine is dropped on a command post, in an area where the Russians are advancing towards Kharkiv (Ukraine). The target has now been reached, and the mission accomplished.
