A proposal “bold”. Guest of the “Elysée 2022” program on France 2 on Thursday March 24, the Republican presidential candidate, Valérie Pécresse, offered to use “Iare yachts” and “the villas” confiscated from Russian oligarchs to accommodate Ukrainian refugees.
“I would like the government to be transparent today on all the assets that have been seizedshe launched. We know the yachts, the villas in Europe of these oligarchs, and why not a somewhat daring proposal, why not use them to welcome refugees?
Valérie Pécresse felt that such a measure would have “panache and would also make it possible to show Russia that a war cannot be waged with impunity against the freedom of peoples and against its neighbours”.
