Valérie Pécresse and the former Prime Minister, Jean Castex, are having a blast on line 6 of the Paris metro!

At the start of the year, Valérie Pécresse made some major announcements! During a press conference, the president of the Île-de-France regional council spoke at length about the regeneration work on the Ile-de-France transport lines. Aware of the concern of users, the politician and her teams opted – without blinking – for substitute buses.

“I asked for adequate support solutions, because when you’re at the end of the line, an omnibus train is already very long and when you replace a train with a bus at 10 p.m. in the evening, the journey everyday life begins to become an obstacle course”, analyzed the main interested party as clarified by our colleagues from “BFM TV”. A return to normal was expected for April according to their estimates.

We can say that Valérie Pécresse is on all fronts. Just like Jean Castex, CEO of the RATP! This Monday April 3, 2023, the duo hit hard by orchestrating a remarkable outing on line 6 of the Paris metro. As a reminder, for more than 50 years, the MP73 trains reigned supreme over the latter… Period now over. The 6 stations bid them farewell. Line 4 having rid itself of its own, the MP89s, will therefore replace them.

“By the end of 2025, more than 40 renovated trains will be running on this line. The first renovated train has already been in circulation since January”, rejoiced Valérie Pécresse on Twitter. The opportunity for it to promote the long-awaited new trains to Internet users. In front of the lens, the former candidate for the 2022 presidential election appears all smiles alongside Jean Castex. Their immense pride is noticeable!

For its part, line 4 will be equipped with automatic MP14 shuttles! According to the latest news, the MP89s have been renovated at all levels: change of on-board signage, new seats and ceilings, “mixed” doors (note: they open on both sides of the train), video installation -protection.

Exit the six cars of the MP89, they now have five. Unsurprisingly, countless adaptation and modernization works have been carried out to make this project possible. Line 6 being one of the most used in the Paris region, this wind of change is doing it the greatest good!
