“People have been moving since this morning. We have had customers since very early on. There is the phone that rang all weekend too and all past week, ”said Lise Gauther, general manager of Gauthier Fleurs et Jardins.

As there are so many orders to prepare this year, all efforts had to be concentrated in the workshop. “Today, we can say that there is no one who will be unemployed,” exclaimed laughing Ms. Gauthier.

Chocolates are also popular on February 14. The owner of DavidChoco, recently installed in Trois-Rivières, even opened his doors an hour earlier than expected to serve customers.

“It’s crazy. Totally crazy, but at the same time, everyone comes to get their little happiness and give it away, so it’s magnificent,” marveled the owner, David Gagné. Tuesday, given the constant traffic in his business, there was no longer any question of making the confection that was completed the day before.

The restaurants, like Angéline in Trois-Rivières, are practically full for the evening. Same story for Le Grill restaurant, Le Buck: gastronomic pub and Le Temps d’une Pinte, all of which are expecting a very busy evening.

Even at the Sushi Shop counter in Trois-Rivières, the staff is overwhelmed. “We started two hours ago last night and there are employees rolling our fridge and our orders,” replied an employee, Bella Faisy. According to her, the turnover for a normal day was reached almost an hour after the opening.

To end the day, many opted for a moment of relaxation. Spa, massage or lodging are very popular at Kinipi Nordic Spa & Lodging again this year.

“We have been full since yesterday morning,” said sales and marketing director Joannie Lefebvre.

“It stretches until this weekend. I would even say at the beginning of the week, then the next weekends will also be quite busy for the little latecomers who may have forgotten, ”she said in a laughing tone.

It is therefore an army of workers from all fields who have been working for days to offer lovers a romantic evening.
