The Valence mosque in Drôme found in its mailbox, Saturday November 25, a racist letter and death threats referring to the death of Thomas in Crépol, reports France Bleu Drôme Ardèche. The establishment immediately filed a complaint.

On this anonymous letter, accompanied by a caricature from the Charlie Hebdo newspaper representing Mohammed naked, it is written: “A good Muslim is a dead Muslim. Justice for Thomas.”

“These death threats are unacceptable”declared to France Bleu Drôme Ardèche Mustapha Laqli, spokesperson for the religious association managing the mosque, saying he “dismayed”. “Obviously the mosque and all Muslims denounce the murder of young Thomas with the greatest firmness”he adds. “We regret the conflation between Islam and this type of criminal behavior. We appeal to the intelligence of our fellow citizens not to get involved in this game.”

Saturday morning, the Cherbourg-en-Cotentin mosque in Manche was also targeted by racist death threats, with tags discovered on its gate.
