Val-d’Oise: an inmate manages to escape from his cell in Osny

Tuesday, December 21 at the end of the day, an inmate was discovered mutilating himself in his cell at Osny (Val d’Oise). The administration then transferred him under escort to Pontoise hospital, so that he could be treated. Arriving on the scene, a woman shot a prison officer who was escorting the inmate. The accomplice was waiting in the parking lot with her weapon hidden under a blanket, she claimed to be carrying a baby. The agent, protected by his vest bullet proof, was only slightly injured.

The detainee, suspected of murder, the woman and a third person who was on the lookout managed to escape in a car. They are actively sought after. The detainee is considered very dangerous by the police. Thegeneral secretary of the union FO-Penitentiary, Emmanuel Baudin, wonders about having performed a medical extraction “at night, when we are the weakest, where we are in danger, without being armed”.
