From 1er on November 15, its stores will spread some heat on the street with One throw at a time, a campaign launched in Canada in 2012 that distributed fleece blankets at various shelters.
This fall, for each throw sold online or in stores, $5 will be donated to the Quebec organization Dans la rue, which works with young homeless people in Montreal.
Founded by Father Emmett Johns, aka “Pops”, Dans la rue helps its young clientele by providing meals and emergency shelter. The organization also provides education and employment assistance services as well as physical and psychological care.
