On the 17th day of the war that strikes Ukraine, what is the situation in Poland, the country that hosts the most refugees? “Today alone, whether at the border or at the train station, (…) we have seen the arrival of hundreds and hundreds of refugees, Ukrainians seeking asylum”reports, Saturday, March 12, the journalist Thomas Cuny, in duplex from Przemysl.
According to the UN, more than 2.5 million people have fled the country since the start of the war, and half are in Poland. Some find family or friends, others are referred to accommodation centers in the region or elsewhere in the country. Finally, some people are waiting in a commercial area, before being able to board buses heading for all of Europe.
