Cécilia Declares War on Luna
Inside the Marseille penitentiary, Luna finds herself alone in the yard. Suddenly, an inmate collides with her intentionally, prompting Luna to shout: ‘Don’t apologize, especially!’. This confrontation leads to a circle forming around her, drawing attention. The guard intervenes, warning Luna: ‘Stop messing around!’
Upon returning to her cell, Luna discovers her belongings have vanished. Concerned, she queries the guard, who informs her that her cell was infested with bedbugs, resulting in her possessions being discarded. Luna realizes that this is yet another scheme against her.
Later, Cécilia Lopes (Delphine Chanéac), the notorious criminal responsible for Maxime’s (Renaud Leymans) murder, unexpectedly visits Luna in her cell. Mirta’s daughter soon comprehends that Cécilia has orchestrated the inmates’ hostility towards her.
The Emma-Baptiste Relationship on Shaky Ground
Emma and Baptiste are gradually settling into Thomas’s (Laurent Kérusoré) and Gabriel’s home. One morning, Baptiste catches Emma on a video call with a client from England, feeling irritated by her dedication during the holidays.
As tensions flare, Riva arrives with pastries to lighten the mood, but senses the heavy atmosphere. Emma confides in him about the frequent conflicts with Baptiste.
To alleviate the situation, Gabriel inquires about her work. Emma responds positively, mentioning her leadership of a team: ‘I’m having a blast, but Baptiste can’t understand. For him, I’m working too much!’. Riva reassures her, saying: ‘You must be proud of your journey.’
A few hours later, Thomas encounters his son in the Mistral square. Baptiste shares his longing for their previous life and expresses his concerns about the rising tensions with Emma.
Back at home, Thomas confides his worries to Gabriel about Baptiste’s unfulfilling relationship. He wishes to assist, but Gabriel hesitates: ‘We shouldn’t overdramatize; we’re going hiking tomorrow. A group activity should help them reconnect.’
Ophélie Unveils a Shocking Truth
Apolline (Zoé Laïb) shares alarming news with Vanessa (Agathe de la Boulaye): Anthony Charon (Mickaël Bourse) possesses documents that reveal Vanessa bribed Myriam Toussaint with a substantial sum.
Fearing exposure, Vanessa contemplates a new deal with Anthony. Apolline expresses her worries: ‘I’m concerned for your safety going there alone.’ Vanessa retorts: ‘Charon has declared war on me; it’s best you stay out of this when I settle the score.’
At the Mistral, Ophélie and Ulysse (Jeremy Charvet) enjoy coffee, but Ophélie suspects her mother is hiding something and confides in her brother: ‘I haven’t seen her this distressed since dad passed away.’
Meanwhile, Jean-Paul (Stéphane Henon) visits the Mistral medical office, seeking information about Anthony Charon. He informs Léa and Babeth of Anthony’s disappearance and mentions a notebook found at his residence with Myriam Toussaint’s name written on it.
Babeth reveals that Apolline had inquired about this nurse just the day before. The investigator realizes that Myriam Toussaint may link Anthony to the Kepler family. But how?
At the Mistral police station, Boher updates his colleague, Ariane, about Myriam’s lack of inheritance but large cash deposits in her account. Meanwhile, Ariane uncovers a complaint against the Marseille Est hospital from when the nurse resigned.
This complaint was filed by Mr. and Mrs. Vavin, whose daughter, Colombine, tragically died shortly after birth on December 17, 2003.
Moreover, Boher reveals a critical detail to Ariane: Vanessa was one of Myriam Toussaint’s last patients, and her daughter, Ophélie, was also born on December 17, 2003. The two women shared the same birth date.
As Vanessa meets with Anthony away from prying eyes, she hands him cash in exchange for his silence. However, Anthony realizes the amount is insufficient.
Suddenly, two individuals ambush him, knocking him out with chloroform and placing him in a box. Vanessa orders them to transport him to a container bound for Mozambique, before burning the incriminating letter Anthony had stolen.
At home, Vanessa is surprised to find her children have planned a trip to Iceland for her. Delighted to escape the chaos, she slips away when her phone rings.
Meanwhile, Ulysse presents Ophélie with an envelope addressed to her. Inside, she finds a letter from Charon: ‘My little fairy, if you’re reading this, something serious has happened to me. Before I disappear, I must reveal the truth about your family. You are not a Kepler, and proof of this is in this envelope.’
In the envelope, Ophélie discovers a mysterious birth bracelet dated December 17, 2003, labeled ‘Colombine’. Trembling, she turns to her mother and asks: ‘Who is Colombine?’
