“We can only suffer and deal with it, as usual“, confides a man. “We understand that if the baker pays more, we will pay more for the baguette“, adds a woman. Price increases should also affect eggs, pasta, flour, oil, as well as meat. “When there is an inflation on raw materials, (…) the products whose prices increase the fastest and the strongest, they are those on which the share of the raw material is the most important“, explains Olivier Dauvers, specialist in mass distribution.
