Léa Struggles with Babeth’s Absence

Patrick encourages Léa to share her illness with Babeth, but the doctor opts for silence, given the grim prognosis. She opens up to her father-in-law, expressing, ‘We must face the facts, I may not survive this cancer, and it’s even likely.’

These words weigh heavily on Patrick, who finds it increasingly difficult to shield his wife from this painful truth. Meanwhile, Léa feels the void left by her mother’s absence growing more profound. Could Babeth’s return be on the horizon?

The Ongoing Conflict Between Gabriel and Thomas

At the Mistral police station, Ulysse (Jérémy Kepler) encounters Maître Bataille, who accuses him of hiding crucial documents related to Gabriel and Thomas’s divorce (Laurent Kérusoré).

Shortly after, Jérémy heads to the medical office to collect Gabriel’s paperwork, while Maître Bataille does the same for her client, Thomas. Both men assure their lawyers that the animosity between them has lessened.

Later, as the two soon-to-be ex-spouses discuss their divorce terms, Riva discovers that Thomas intends to seek a compensatory allowance, igniting a fresh wave of tension between them.

Barbara Falls for Mélusine’s Deceptive Charms

Following a troubling psychic session, Yolande is left reeling. Standing before a portrait of her late husband, Jocelyn, she asks, ‘Why are you asking me to join you in death? Are you afraid I will forget you?’

Yolande is soon joined by Jennifer (Diane Dassigny), who inquires about the origin of her butterfly-shaped brooch. Yolande fabricates a story, raising Jennifer’s suspicions since Madeleine had a similar brooch. Concerned for her friend, she urges, ‘It’s important, tell me who gave you this brooch.’

A few hours later, Jennifer finds Barbara (Léa François) at the Mistral and reveals her concerns about Yolande seeing a psychic, the same one consulted by Madeleine. The two friends suspect that Mélusine may be involved with Antoine Lamory.

At the Mistral, Djawad points out to Barbara that he sees through her facade—she appears enchanted by Louis Robbie. Delighted for her, he notes that her mood has brightened since meeting the former burglar, suggesting Louis might share her feelings.

Later, Jennifer and Barbara ask Louis to examine the brooch, but he finds nothing amiss. After their conversation, Barbara requests Jennifer to babysit Yaël, but she is busy. Surprisingly, Louise offers to help out.

Seizing the opportunity to be alone, Barbara visits Mélusine’s psychic office for her first consultation. She pretends to have been feeling unwell recently. The psychic claims that Yaël is crying out for her, saying, ‘He is calling you, he wants his dad too.’

Mélusine begins to touch upon Abdel’s disappearance, but the memories are still too painful for Barbara. The psychic reassures her, stating, ‘You have something inside you that you didn’t have time to tell him, and I can help you.’

As Barbara leaves the psychic’s office, she appears shaken by what she has just uncovered. Will she, like Madeleine and Yolande, place her trust in Mélusine? Stay tuned for the upcoming episodes of Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle.
