On Friday, November 1, Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle kicks off…
Steve Ignites the Celebration
At the Massalia residence, the ‘Dia de los Muertos’ festivities are in full swing. Steve addresses the crowd, expressing gratitude for their participation before officially starting the celebration. Attendees don vibrant outfits and Mexican masks, embracing the rich traditions of the country.
Apolline (Zoé Laïb) seizes the moment to inquire about the drinks, and moments later, she’s indulging in the cocktails served at the event. Steve notices her enjoyment, but true to form, Apolline can’t resist critiquing the occasion.
She confides in Steve, ‘I was promised an exhilarating time. It’s disappointing and getting dull.’ In response, Steve clarifies that the aim was not to frighten, but to celebrate México.
Nisma and Vadim Share a Kiss
After his chat with Apolline, Steve shares a toast with Camille, a Mexico expert attending his party. He expresses his happiness about her presence, and she suggests they hit the dance floor together, leaving Nisma feeling a twinge of jealousy.
As Nisma heads upstairs, she crosses paths with Vadim (Léo Mazo), who playfully needles her. However, Nisma stands her ground. The two gradually draw closer, culminating in Nisma kissing Vadim.
Steve walks in on this unexpected moment but pretends not to notice as he leaves. Nisma, lost in the moment, remains unaware of his presence.
Ariane and Zoé Plan a Heist
Ariane shows up at the ‘Dia de los muertos’ celebration clad in a sleek black jumpsuit and a mask to maintain her anonymity. Back at the apartment, Eric keeps watch over Zoé, who is tied to a chair.
Concerned for her mother, Zoé tells Eric, ‘She’s lost her signal and is underground. I know she’s up to something!’ Eric tries to calm her, but Zoé’s worry seems to get through to him.
Ariane ventures into the underground area of the Massalia residence when she suddenly hears Zoé’s voice calling out. Eric finally decides to free Zoé so she can assist her mother. Ariane reveals her intention to carry out the heist solo, but Zoé insists she can’t let her mother face danger alone.
Zoé proposes they work together, saying, ‘You’ll need me. We only have two hours to get the loot back.’ Ariane reluctantly agrees, and they both make their way into the tunnel.
Minutes later, Ariane struggles to breathe and admits her childhood claustrophobia to Zoé: ‘You go on without me, Zoé. I can’t continue; I’m not okay.’ Zoé attempts to comfort her mother, helping Ariane regain her composure.
As they near their objective, they reach a door and open a closet to disable all CCTV cameras. Zoé informs her mother of the target: a unique Mexican mask located in a showcase.
The teenager successfully retrieves the mask and returns to her mother in 27 seconds, though it’s already too late. Surprisingly, the alarm remains silent, even though it should have activated just moments ago.
Suddenly, the exhibition janitor arrives with his girlfriend. The duo hides behind a wall as the janitor discovers the missing mask and hurriedly goes to call the police.
Meanwhile, Ariane and Zoé begin their exit through the tunnel. Just as they near the exit, Zoé announces in panic, ‘I can’t move; my foot is on a mine.’
