Ferdinand’s Breakdown
After assisting Ferdinand in gaining entry to the Master program, Teyssier expects him to uphold his end of their bargain by handing over the video where Constance confesses to her father’s murder. However, Ferdinand declares his intention to back out of their agreement.
At the Atelier, Enzo announces to the Master students that Ferdinand has successfully passed his test and is now a full member of the class. He reveals that Ferdinand will take over Lionel’s spot during the lunch service due to Lionel’s illness, pitching his sauce bar concept. Overwhelmed, Ferdinand panics, insisting he isn’t ready yet. Despite his reservations, he feels pressured by Enzo and the others, who challenge him to perform as impressively as he did during his test.
As the service approaches, Ferdinand quickly finds himself in over his head. He struggles to answer questions from his brigade and becomes increasingly irritable. Jasmine, Tom, and Emi do their best to follow his instructions, especially with the food critic Kebler dining among the lunch crowd.
During the service, Kebler keenly observes the tension between Ferdinand and his brigade. When Enzo checks in on him, Kebler bluntly states that the meal does not meet expectations.
Post-service, Lionel and Emi bring Ferdinand the negative review published by Kebler, titled ‘The Decline of the Castelmonts.’ Ferdinand blames Enzo for sabotaging him, claiming he wasn’t ready to present his concept yet. However, Lionel and Emi see through Ferdinand’s excuses and recognize his shortcomings.
Meanwhile, Enzo shares Kebler’s article with Rose and Teyssier to illustrate that Ferdinand is unfit for the Institute. When faced with criticism from his colleagues, Enzo remains steadfast, dismissing their concerns about the deal with Ferdinand, insisting that his performance has proven he doesn’t belong in the Master program.
After Enzo leaves, Rose and Teyssier reluctantly agree with him. The Institute Director then makes a mysterious call for assistance… but who could it be?
Milan Faces His Past
Back at the shared apartment, Jasmine and Tom are thrilled with Milan’s newfound engagement. He even volunteers to take Naël to school to help Jasmine out.
At the Institute, Milan encounters Anaïs, who notices his positive change since moving in with Jasmine and Tom. He admits to sleeping better and feeling less anxious. However, when he finds himself alone, he receives a troubling call from Sam.
During service at Double A, Milan struggles to focus, accidentally colliding with Gary and reacting angrily instead of taking responsibility. Anaïs intervenes to separate them, pulling Milan aside to uncover what’s bothering him, but he insists that everything is fine.
After the service, Anaïs presses him further. Eventually, Milan reveals that Sam, who is in prison, called him and ominously suggested he might end up there again. Milan is concerned about being seen as the chef who was incarcerated. Anaïs encourages him to find strength in his past instead of succumbing to it.
Zoé Uncovers Thelma’s Secrets
In the CDI, Thelma takes an interest in Sabri’s AI-generated training ideas. He creates an image of Thelma that impresses her, leading her to agree to a private date in her room.
After spending the night together, Thelma and Sabri exchange compliments. She finds him charming, while he expresses his fondness for her scent. They share dreams about the superpowers they wish to possess.
Later, in the locker room, Sabri nearly drops a photo of Thelma as a superhero, complete with a note in her locker. Zoé catches him in the act. When questioned, Sabri admits to his relationship with Thelma but insists they are keeping it low-key. Zoé checks to ensure he is comfortable with their secrecy, which he confirms.
As the day wraps up, Maya chats in the park with Coline and Zoé. She spots Thelma’s bracelet at their door, a signal they set for privacy. Maya then presses Thelma for the name of her romantic partner. Thelma claims she can’t share his name because he’s a well-known influencer, causing Zoé to worry that Sabri may be in over his head.
